FCT Police deny VeryDarkMan fraud claim. The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has officially stated that it is unaware of the alleged disappearance of ₦180 million from the account of popular social media influencer, Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan.
Otse recently took to Instagram, claiming that a staggering ₦180 million had been transferred from his NGO’s account into an unknown account, leaving just ₦20 million behind. His allegations sparked widespread concern and speculation among his followers.
Police Deny Any Involvement or Investigation
In response, the FCT Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, clarified on Saturday that the command has no knowledge of the alleged incident and is not investigating the matter.
“The FCT Police Command has no information regarding any missing funds involving VDM, nor is there any ongoing investigation into the matter,” Adeh stated.
She further advised that those seeking details about the case should directly contact Otse to determine where the matter was reported, as no such case has been filed with the FCT Police.
Public Reaction and Next Steps
The announcement has left many questions unanswered, especially among Otse’s followers who are eager to know more about the alleged fraud. The influencer has yet to provide further details about the incident or clarify if he has reported the matter to other law enforcement agencies.
For now, the mystery surrounding the missing funds continues to unfold, leaving Nigerians awaiting updates from Otse or any official authority involved in the case.
