As part of the president’s command, top intelligence officers, military personnel, and police forces have been deployed to Benue to take charge of security operations and work toward stabilizing the region.

Tinubu Tasks Governor Alia with Leading Reconciliation Talks

In addition to security measures, President Tinubu orders peace by urging Governor Hyacinth Alia to step up as a unifying figure. The president emphasized the importance of reconciliation and tasked the governor with convening dialogue sessions between farmers, herders, and affected communities to end the recurring clashes.
